I don’t know just what I feel, but I feel it all tonight.

«I don’t know just what I feel, but I feel it all tonight.»

It’s not so worth getting all bent out of shape about
I turn my back on it and next you know it’s all wrung out
Do you want to step outside or do you want a ride
I don’t know just what I feel but I feel it all tonight

I give it all in these hours that we set aside
I know I’m feeling grief but that’s because my heart’s so tired
Don’t wanna dream, thinking all our thoughts are only true
We’ve got enough to spare cause we’re awake through half our youth

You showed me how to live
Now it’s my turn to give
I know you don’t have a clue
But I have nothing left for you

Now I see you cry
You shout and kiss goodbye
Like something that never was
We left without some cause

All those messed up thoughts
I wanna crash, but I am lost
please don’t walk away
stay stay stay

We are apart for years
There is no need for tears
Just a smile on our face
I really miss your embrace

No more words to say
It doesn’t matter anyway
You are no longer mine
We are so lost in time

Haiti, my country
wounded mother I’ll never see.
My family, set me free.
Throw my ashes into the sea.

All my brothers were never born
haunt the nights , we are all torn
you know our hopes are all free
Guns can’t kill what soldiers can’t see.

In the forest we lie hiding,
unmarked graves where flowers grow.
Hear the soldiers angry yelling,
in the river we will go.

We will build an army of (joy)
soon we will reclaim the earth.
All the tears and all the bodies
bring about our second birth.

Haiti, never free
don’t you fear to sound the alarm
all the children are already gone
In those days their blood was still warm

i am the rain
i won’t follow that train
i’ll build myself a cage
and put in my ego and rage

i am the rain
i am the birds’ song
i fall and wash you away
cooling hell three times a day

i am the rain
i make flowers laugh
i make people grow
i am the rain
