Can’t you feel the knife?

#10yearschallenge

«Can’t you feel the knife?»

Η μπάντα διαλύθηκε αρχές του 2016, τώρα με τον Γιάννη και τον Στράτο σκαρώσαμε του vaulter και ετοιμαζόμαστε για 1ο δίσκο, εγώ παράλληλα ετοιμάζω νέο σόλο προτζεκτ. Πού θα είμαστε σε 10 χρόνια;

This is our first cover back from 2009. The song is inspired by Zach Condon from Beirut who sang Grizzly Bear’s ‘Knife’ during one night in the Parisian streets.
This is the time when we chose to form an indie rock band, with mainly acoustic songs. This cover is the essence of the spirit of our band in so many different ways. With this song we said goodbye to the 00’s and entered a new decade.
Many things have changed from that time. We released one EP, one LP, and several covers including Nightcall-Under Your spell from the movie «Drive». Band split up in beginning of 2016.
10 years have passed since the time we formed, and we are really proud to bring this cover back to life.
Enjoy and who knows? Maybe we’ll meet in 10 years.
Have a good and meaningful life people.

Credits:
Main Vocals: Spiros Dimitropoulos
Back Vocals: Dionisios Analitis
Guitars: Dionisios Analitis, Yannis Zacharopoulos
Mixed by Stratos Patlamazoglou

The song was recorded using only a laptop microphone. It was mixed by the one and only Stratos Patlamazoglou, who wasn’t yet a member of the band, but he became our drummer for the next years.

The photo was taken during our 1st rehearsal in Spiros’ house a.k.a «sunset» on 29 January 2009.

it’s time you rise or fail.

You’re on in five, it’s time you rise or fail.
They’ve gone before, stood by your door all day.
For what it’s worth, defend your kind from shame.
The lights are down, go on inside, they’ve paid.
You’re the face in stone, through the land I own.
You never found it home.
You’re not the girl I used to know.

What would you hide from such a glow
If I had only told you so?

You’re on in five, it’s time you rise or fail.
They’ve gone before, stood by your door all day.
But you never found it home.
A fair price I’d pay to be alone.

What would you hide from such a glow
If I had only told you so?

can’t you feel the knife?

I want you to know
when i look in your eyes
with every blow
comes another lie

you think its alright
you think its alright
you think its alright
you think its alright

can’t you feel the knife?
can’t you feel the knife?
can’t you feel the knife?
can’t you feel the knife?

her day was mine.

άργησαν λίγο αλλά εμφανίστηκαν στο video of the day.
beirut.

The times we had
Oh, when the wind would blow with rain and snow
Were not all bad
We put our feet just where they had, had to go
Never to go

The shattered soul
Following close but nearly twice as slow
In my good times
There were always golden rocks to throw
at those who admit defeat too late
Those were our times, those were our times

And I will love to see that day
That day is mine
When she will marry me outside with the willow trees
And play the songs we made
They made me so
And I would love to see that day
Her day was mine
